We had an excellent experience with Granite Homes after speaking with Sandra for more than two years. We have been in our house for over a month and are in love with the quality and craftsmanship. Minus having a few issues with electrical, I appreciated Sydney and the team letting us know in advance there could be an issue due to a supplier issue with the breakers. That transparency and open is communication is so important and we appreciated that! We had such an amazing experience from initial meetings, to design (Kyle was amazing!) to moving in. We are so happy in our forever home!

This has been a great home buying experience. All the staff I have dealt with have been super kind and attentive to providing information throughout the process. The job site was impressively clean during construction, showing that the workers cared about their work.

The initial sales process with Sandra was very smooth, from picking the lot we wanted to signing final documents. The design process experience was great. Kylie was helpful in preparing numerous quotes for us to help with finalizing our designs based on our budget. Our PDI with Sydney went well and she was very detailed, so the experience was very informative. We felt supported from beginning to end, though sometimes we had communication delays and had to follow up, but understand that everyone has a busy schedule. In addition, the timings for the Construction Orientation and PDI were very inconvenient for clients to participate in. We were forced to take vacation days off from work. It would be very helpful and a good practice to provide after-hours options for clients to be able to view their homes. We were unable to participate in the Construction Orientation, and our rough-ins in the basement were missed. Though, it was caught and they were completed by the builder. We also never received any updates through the building process - no introduction to the construction team was provided.

It was a pleasure dealing with Granite Homes. I was very nervous about buying new because of all the bad news I had heard about very poor quality in new construction. Before I did my PDI walk-thru I did a lot of research into what I should be looking for. I came armed with my roll of blue tape and expected to use at least half the roll. I did not find anything to blue tape and was pleasantly surprise dat the quality of the workmanship. I did find a few things (as expected) when I moved in but Granite Homes was very quick to respond to the most important issues.

Overall it was a good experience, and there were a few hiccups which I'm sure we'll have the opportunity to expand upon later in the survey. We had unbelievably great experiences with Sarah and Kylie, and Greg is such a pleasure to chat with on site. However, we did find it frustrating at times to communicate with Kelly. For example, on our first walk-through of the house she told us that we wouldn't be getting insulation in the basement because of the elevation of our home. We also emailed her when we saw that the wrong exterior front steps had been installed, and we got an email saying that we just should have waited to say anything because it was about to be fixed. During the final PDI she argued with us about various errors/issues and just told us to put it on our 30-day list. Consequently, we felt rushed through the process and I think that we missed some issues.
