I would not recommend to a friend to build with your company. This was my second time building a home and i have also built 2 offices, i am very familiar with the building process. I had many issues with the builder's rep, Joni , and my home was priced at $20 more a square foot than your custom home in the parade this year. My home was not custom and there were many things i was told could not be done. For example i asked about a drain in the garage floor, was told this could not be done- however, there is a drain in the utility room, which is off the garage? Consequently i had to have all plumbing and most light fixtures removed and replaced after i moved in. I had to build out all closets and pantry after move in. The windows you use are poor quality and my sunroom is freezing. The finishes you offer are not those that should be placed in a home with a $1M pricetag. Would not build with you again, pricetag was way too high for me to have to rip so much stuff out and finish it myself. Too bad i wanted the location.

Working with Ted and the Creative Homes team was an amazing experience from start to finish. As first-time homebuyers, we were nervous about the building process, but they walked us through every step and kept us in the loop with weekly progress updates. That level of communication made us feel truly involved and gave us plenty of chances to ask questions along the way. Honestly, I don’t think they could have made the process any easier. Highly recommend Creative Homes to anyone considering building a home!

We love the layout and location of our lot. We love that we were able to make modifications to the floor plan and had the availability to upgrade items and purchase our own appliances and lighting. Every person that we have worked with have been wonderful. Joni, our sales person has been great and always helpful, Erin in the design center was extremely patient and very helpful and Sarah, our construction manager, is outstanding. She has gone above and beyond to help us, answer our questions and solve issues that we’ve had. She deserves a raise!! Every time we have had an issue for the most part, it has been done in a timely manner. The house itself was done fairly quickly , but it has taken a while for our yard to be completed. We do understand a lot of the timing has had to do with the development we are in. Comparing our landscaping to other builders in the development, we are pleased with the landscapers and the sod laying. It was far superior. We’ve had our 2 month quality check and so far they’ve been very responsive. We are still waiting to hear on one issue. A big issue we ran into was the back of our lot and not realizing how the house would sit on the lot. Once building started we were concerned where the house sat and if we needed a retaining wall due to the drop off of our lot. We were not told until right before closing that they would put in a short retaining wall. We also would have liked to have seen more cleaning of the very back of our yard, roots pulled, etc. it took a bit to get them to clean it up. We also thought there would be sod there and not a seed mat placed. The tape job in the garage was very poorly done. The millwork staining wasn’t consistent with the sample that we had chosen from to match our cabinets, and they could have done a nicer job. We have an issue with the tape job in a few spots on the ceiling that are discolored. For the money we spent it would be nice to have a higher quality interior paint. It is hard to clean marks off the walls without it showing. We had a water issue with our dishwasher due to nails in the back of our island which has taken 2+ months to be resolved, but has been taken care of. The garbage disposal is terrible, so loud! Many of the standard items provided needed to be upgraded, which adds to the cost of your home if you want to make those changes, which drives the cost of the house up tremendously. It was surprising to us how much additional money we had to spend on the build and we are still making many changes on our own. A concern of ours is the windows. We will reserve judgement on those for a few years. It was too costly to upgrade. All in all we love the people we have had the pleasure of working with. We’d say they are your #1 asset. We love the layout of our house and hopefully it will be our home for many years.

Overall experience was good, initial process went great as it was already built, after moving in there are some annoyances with cabinets and cracking and we still cant use our front door lock as they never gave a code and we cant reset and i am tired of asking about it.

Overall our experience was good, not great. There are things in the home that do not match with pictures/previous tours of homes that we only found out we were getting some low quality products on our welcome home orientation. Additionally, some of our electrical requests were not done, again, we learned this at the welcome home orientation. Then there are the locations of some things/quality of products that make me say this was good, not great.

We felt we were told things that did not happen. Most importantly the overall quality of our home and property are subpar. But the level of quality seems to be accepted by the creative team.

We are having some difficulty getting resolution to some concerns we have regarding the backfill of the yard between our home and the neighbors house. A contractor carrying a ladder to install gutters rolled his ankle Due to hollow ground and sunken unattached sod. We’ve attempted to get this remedied by contacting Travis but feel we’re getting the runaround being told it could be overwatered. This is not an irrigation issue
